Mahakaushal University Participates in Mega Legal Outreach & Awareness Camp in Jabalpur

On 28 March 2026, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jabalpur, organised a grand “Mega Legal Outreach & Awareness Camp” at Manas Bhawan, Jabalpur. The event was held in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Justice Vivek Rusia, Shri Krishnamurti Mishra, Principal Judge, Judge Smt. Suman Srivastava, Secretary, DLSA, Shri Raghavendra Singh, Collector, and Shri Ram Prakash Ahirwar, Municipal Commissioner.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Law and students of Mahakaushal University actively participated in the programme. During the event, students gained valuable information about Free Legal Aid, Mediation, Lok Adalat, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and the legal rights of citizens.

As part of the programme, detailed discussions were held with officials of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) regarding the establishment of a Mediation Centre and a Legal Aid Centre on the University campus. The initiative aims to provide students with practical legal experience while ensuring accessible legal assistance for underprivileged and disadvantaged sections of society. The officials agreed to initiate the necessary steps in this regard at the earliest.

To ensure effective coordination and the smooth implementation of future activities, Mr. Gargi Shankar has been appointed as the Coordinator and Mr. Taranhar Singh as the Deputy Coordinator.

Mahakaushal University’s active participation in such initiatives not only strengthens the academic and professional development of its students but also reflects the University's commitment to social responsibility, legal awareness, and access to justice for all.
