Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) at Mahakaushal University is constituted in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2015.

The ICC aims to provide a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive environment for all members of the university community. It addresses complaints of sexual harassment and ensures fair and confidential redressal in line with statutory guidelines.

Objectives of the ICC

  • 1. To prevent and prohibit sexual harassment of women employees and students
        on campus
    2. To provide a neutral, fair, and confidential mechanism for redressal of
        complaints To create awareness about gender sensitization and respectful
        workplace behavior
    3. To conduct regular workshops, training, and awareness sessions for students
        and staff
    4. To uphold the dignity, equality, and safety of all genders within the campus
        environment

Roles & Responsibilities

  • 1. Receiving and addressing complaints related to sexual harassment

  • 2. Ensuring fair and impartial inquiry within a stipulated time

  • 3. Recommending appropriate action based on inquiry findings

  • 4. Maintaining confidentiality and protecting the identity of the complainant

  • 5. Preparing annual reports on the number of cases and preventive measures taken

Confidentiality & Support

  • All complaints received by the ICC are handled with utmost confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism. The Committee provides emotional and legal support to the complainant, and takes steps to ensure a safe academic environment during and after the process.
