The Research & Development Cell provides an institutional framework for promoting quality research, identifying priority research areas, supporting researchers and connecting research outcomes with wider societal needs. - Create a conducive environment for stronger research productivity and scholarly work.
- Encourage collaboration with industry, government, community organizations and academic or research institutions at local, national and international levels.
- Facilitate broader access to research resources, funding opportunities and institutional support.
From research planning to research outcomes
Develop an organized, role-based R&D structure and support the formulation and implementation of research policy.
Identify thrust areas, research clusters, frontline teams and researcher consortia around priority themes.
Create enabling provisions for recruitment of research personnel, equipment procurement and responsible financial management for research projects.
Identify strategic collaborators and build synergistic partnerships with industry, research organizations, academic institutions and other stakeholders.
Act as a liaison with funding agencies and support project proposal development, submission, grants and post-sanction monitoring.
Coordinate research with innovation, incubation, entrepreneurship and intellectual-property initiatives across the University.
Build institutional research information systems for tracking projects, expertise, resources, outcomes and consultancy opportunities.
Promote workshops, training and mentoring while safeguarding research integrity, ethics and required approvals.
