Anti-Ragging Committee – Academic Session 2025-26

In strict adherence to the regulations of UGC, AICTE, PCI, BCI, RCI, and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, Mahakaushal University has constituted the Anti-Ragging Committee, Anti-Ragging Squad, and Discipline Committee to ensure a ragging-free and disciplined environment in the campus and hostels.

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Students facing any issues related to ragging or indiscipline are encouraged to report the matter to the committee for immediate action and redressal.


What Constitutes Ragging?

  • Use of abusive, humiliating language or behavior based on appearance, caste, language, or background.
  • Any act that causes physical or mental harassment.
  • Forcing students to perform indecent or embarrassing tasks.
  • Threats, confinement, or physical violence.

Duties of the Committee

  • Immediate suspension of the accused upon receiving a complaint.
  • Expulsion if found guilty in the preliminary report.
  • Complaint must be made within 24 hours of the incident.
  • FIR registration, police investigation, and possible 3-year educational ban upon conviction.

IPC Sections Applicable to Ragging

  • Section 294 – Obscene acts and songs
  • Section 325 – Grievous hurt
  • Section 339 to 342 – Wrongful restraint/confinement
  • Section 506 – Criminal intimidation
